Hi All,
Have not been around for almost two years, but with the new GW 2 on the horizon, and some new stuff ingame I thought I would reinstall the whole lot including addons, and get back into the game.

My few years playing GW were the best I have ever spent in any mmo.
Because since leaving I have played Lineage 2, Conan, and Aion.
All nice games, but I had so much more fun in the guilds in GW, all those crazy parties we used to have, and insync dancing

, but my problem is now I have got the lot installed it will not let me in.
I think it's the password, or is it because I have not played in such a long time they have locked the account.

Because here is what I find confusing I can get into my main account, and Lineage 2 will show up, along with Aion, but where is GW ??.
Is that because I was paying monthly for those ??.

I have also tried to change passwords from the start of the game, but to no avail, so far I have tried everything, but zip, so I have contacted support, but from what I hear I wont hold my breath.
This is really annoying, as what do I do when GW2 comes ou??. look at the stills, and wish ??.
Anyway if anyone knows anything please let me know thanks.

Wait for Support to get back to you. If you just reported your problem, keep in mind that they don't work weekends as most problems are account related and not a problem with the game. If you haven't heard back by Tuesday or Wednesday, then you can send an email to [email protected] with ACCOUNT ACCESS PROBLEM in the subject line. Explain your problem politely and include as much owner info as you can supply (access keys are wonderful). It is entirely possible that your account was blocked due to hacker activity. But if you can prove you are the owner, they will unblock it.

Thax for the help people.
I got a reply at 2am today. so filled in the details etc.
Can someone enlighten me, as far as the main account goes.
On my account it shows Aion, and Lineage 2, but no Guild Wars Account why is this??.
Is it because Lineage 2, and Aion, are games I have to pay for monthly, and GW is not ??, as it seems confusing to me .

Most likely because you haven't told your NCSoft master account that you own GW. Unless you purchase via NCSoft store, you have to manually record the access keys with NCSoft.

Soz for the late reply Darcy, but I did not buy from the ncsoft store, so could that be the reason ??.

They have got back to me after a week, and a half, but now they have changed my account details which is not where I am having the problem.

I'm sure they do not read all of the mail you write, as I explined to them I can get into my account, which will show Aion, and Lineage 2, but no GW.
For the life of me I dont know why I cannot get in to play the game.

Alright I know I have not played in over 2 years, but surely they would not lock my account.
This is now getthing to be a joke.
Why cant they incorperate all the games we have into one account ??, or am I missing something.

NOw I will have to wait another week or two till those twits get it right.
Soz just getthing fed up when you pay good money for games, and not to think of all the time you spend developing the alts only to suddenly find you can no longer play .

Darkcraft. Coudl you pelase tell us if you entered ALL the necessary data to access your account? Much has changed in the past 2 years, and one of those thigns is that you have to enter a character name into the login screen.

Email Address

Character Name

Password

Many new players dont notice this and only enter the Email and password, but you need to fill out all 3 fields. If you dont know any of your Character naems, you might want to look at old screenshots or ask friends in other games that might still have you in their friendslist.

On a side note. NCSoft doesnt lock GW accounts due to inactivity, but they sometimes lock accounts they have been hacked and show signs of having been tampered with (RMT, Botting, Account clearing). In this case you have to prove to Anet that it is your account and that you were not involved in the above mentioned things (IP Address should be the best proof if the account was botting in China and you live in the US for example).

But before you get all scared about the second option... try out the first with entering a character name.

A few things to note.

Your Guild Wars account is not the same as your NCSoft/PlayNC account.

Your Guild Wars games, bought retail in a box will not automatically be on your NCSoft account, as there is no way to link them together. Lineage and Aion may work differently I don't know, but it is entirely possbile to have a Guild Wars account without an NCSoft account.

You need to make sure you're explicit in your contact with Guild Wars support as to which account you're having a problem accessing and give them the information relevant to that account.

As Darcy mentions, to add your Guild Wars games to your NCSoft account, you have to go to your account page, and manually input your Guild Wars serial keys that came in the box. This will link the accounts together, or I believe some sort of link can be done by buying an item through the Guild Wars in-game store.
Although the reason you have Lineage and Aion in there may be because they are subscription based and thus require an NCSoft account but the reason Guild Wars isn't in there isn't because it is free to play, it is simply because you haven't added it.

Arena Net, nor NCSoft will 'lock your account' once you create a login that account will always be accessible unless it is closed or blocked for a breach of the EULA.
It is possible that your account was comprismised by a third party, and therefore they have suspended your account, in order to get it back you will have to provide of ownership and account information.

Thanks guys for the quick response.
I did give support all the details, and made sure I said my GW account.
I did type in my email address, and password, and alt name.
Still no joy.

As I said they got back to me, but changed my master account password which is not what Im having the problem with.

Perhaps I should not have done this, but I was desperate I went in to my account, and saw the Aion, and Lineage2 games there, so I clicked on the GW trial just to see if it would work it does, but obviously without all my original alts.
Anyway the trial wont last forever I hope.

I am now into the second week of trying to get this sorted.
Thanks anyway guys, but I feel really down, as I just dont know what is gonna happen when the GW2 comes out, and I'm not gonna be even able to play let alone port some alts over from my old GW.

What are you using to get to Lineage and Aion? When you say "master account" what is this an account for?

You seem to be very caught up with your NCSoft account, although Guild Wars is completely seperate.

I don't know support could have changed your NCSoft information if all you did was provide them with the Guild Wars account info, unless they really have that many crossed wires or you provided confusing information.

If you really want your Guild Wars game in your NCSoft account, have you tried adding your Guild Wars serial numbers to your account? I can't remember the exact process for doing so, but it should be possible.

If you know your Guild Wars account login information, login name, password and a character name, and it doesn't let you in I would try contacting support again and don't mention anything to do with an NCSoft account, and see what they say.

Sorry I thought the master account included GW.
If its a seperate account how come I cant get into it ??, very strange.

I did try adding my serial number keys, but so far nothing.

Your NCSoft won't include Guild Wars unless you either bought it from the NCSoft store, or manually input your Guild Wars serial keys into your account.

It is a separate account and has it's own unique login details, you should be using your Guild Wars account login details and not your NCSoft account details to login to Guild Wars.

It is entirely possible that there is a problem logging, when you contact support you should be clear and concise and not cause any confusion.

Thanks for that I have now found my GW account which as you say is seperate, but after changing the password on the account which was fine, "as it did say it needed reknewing", I still cant get into the game.

I have tried changing the game password, but o no effect.

If you can login to change your Guild Wars password then you have logged into the game.

I don't know what you're logging into and what passwords you're changing.

If you launch the Guild Wars client and the game opens with the Guild Wars login screen, are you able to input the correct; login name, password and character name?

Ok from the start.
I go to the login screen for the game put in address, password, and alt name.
But the game says its incorrect password, or mail address.
Although I know there correct.

I have got into my master account for GW which shows I started it soem years ago.
I have changed the password for the GW account, as it said it needed doing, so I have doen that.
Once in the account I changed the password for the game "not the account", but still no joy.
